Self-taught Jack Kabangu is a Danish artist born in the Democratic Republic Congo, now living, and working from his studio in Copenhagen. We spend a typical day with the young artist at his home and in his studio to capture him and his art.

Jack’s brush strokes contain references from his African roots merged with his Danish upbringing in an expression with gloomy figures and a mix of uplifting and toned-down colors. With the contrasts he creates a connection between the dark and the light, the ugly and the beauty.
